In order to enhance the general basis of Japanese studies in the Philippines, by supporting organizations involved in Japanese studies which are expected to be a center of the Japanese studies, by providing a range of support which effectively expands and develops Japanese studies activities.

The Japan Foundation Japanese Studies Fellowship Program
In order to promote Japanese studies in the Philippines by providing support for foreign scholars of Japanese studies. This program provides opportunities to conduct research in Japan, and consequently to promote the understanding of Japan and the friendship between both countries
JENEYS Programme Special Invitation Programme for Graduate Students
The programme which is for 6 weeks is funded by the Japan – ASEAN Integration Fund as part of the Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youths (JENESYS) Programme.
The programme offers opportunities for graduate students who are involved in the study of Japan and East Asia to deepen their understandings of Japan as well as to foster the development of human resources for the collaboration and cooperation, in particularly for dynamic intellectual community in East Asia.
Eligible applicants will be provided the opportunities to learn and experience Japanese culture through individual research as well as group activities including cultural visit, discussion and lectures with other participants to enhance further understanding of Japan.
