    • Simple Japanese in Two Weeks! (Marugoto : Japanese Language and Culture)

The Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) will be conducting the course -  “Marugoto : Japanese-Language and Culture” on October 16 – 29 (12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.), thus extending a convenient period  for college students (during the school term break) as well as for business executives and employees, to learn simple Japanese in just two weeks.

The “Marugoto : Japanese Language and Culture” is for beginners – no prior knowledge of the Japanese Language. Communicative language activities are provided and used within the context of Japanese settings, such as – eating out, visiting friends, etc. The course will enable learners to speak simple Japanese right away. Objectives are shared by the teacher with the students before each lesson to serve as motivation; these objectives are described by “what you can do” using the Japanese language; thus, making it easy to determine the skills one has already gained and those that need improvement.

The tuition fee (P 3,800.00) includes 2 full color textbooks and CDs; the “Marugoto” will be held at the new home (23/F, Pacific Star Bldg., Makati Ave., Makati City) of The Japan Foundation, Manila wherein the office integrates with the library, the audio visual room, the classrooms and the gallery. It will certainly be an enjoyable learning experience – upscale facilities, expanded collection of library materials and extensive language learning and teaching resources - to better serve as a venue for cultural exchange.
