The Japan Foundation, Manila conducts a wide range of activities in introducing the different facets of Japanese culture. Activities/projects that deepen the understanding and appreciation of Japan include invitations extended to different cultural groups; workshops on human exchange programs that are directed towards personnel development and self-reliance are also undertaken.

A Feast of Traditional Japanese Sweets

Satisfy your sweet tooth in this year’s Nihongo Fiesta as the Japan Foundation, Manila (JFM) brings to Manila three Japanese pastry chefs to give Filipinos a unique look into the food artistry behind traditional Japanese sweets or wagashi.

Wagashi: Japanese Traditional Confectionary Lecture/Demonstration will be held at the Atrium of The Podium (18 ADB Avenue, Ortigas Center, Mandaluyong City) on February 18 (Saturday) from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm.

“Addressing the K to 1`2 Curricular Enhancement in Philippine Education”

Date: January 19-21, 2012
Venue: Sison Auditorium, Lingayen, Pangasinan

An international conference – workshop that will enable the participants – basic education practitioners, researches, teachers, graduate students and other education stakeholders to contribute new knowledge, ideas and innovations for quality education.

The project aims to ensure the teachers’ capability and continuing development to successfully and productively achieve the goals for learning and teaching for K to 12 innovation; it will also provide working knowledge and information on global practices and perspectives.
